What
is "Executive Coaching?"
Much
like a Personal Coach, the Executive Coach focuses on where someone is
and where they want to be. The difference is that the focus
is
predominantly on the business person's career and its impact on the
rest of their life. Unfortunately, as someone moves up the
corporate ladder, they tend to get less and less guidance and mentoring
and more and more responsibilities. And, it gets harder and
harder to ask for advice. This is where an Executive Coach
can be
invaluable.
So, typically the discussions are around where
they are in their career-life and where they want to go. The
coach and client discuss personal strengths and weakneses as they
relate to the job and develop strategies to meet the client's personal
career goals. Of course, the career can afffect every aspect
of
someone's life, so inevitably coaching strategies on how to balance
work-life issues are also addressed.
So, is executive coaching right for you?...
